Aeration is a process that drives spikes into the soil of your lawn, leaving behind thousand of tiny holes to help with drainage and make sure that water, nutrients and air can circulate properly and get directly to the roots of your grass.
This ensures that your lawn has optimum conditions for growing well, and that any excess water drains away properly, and the process is particularly important on lawns with poor drainage or sloping lawns where water might otherwise drain away before it reaches the roots.
Aeration is usually done after scarifying to remove moss and thatch and between both processes, you should see lovely new, fresh growth and a thicker and greener lawn. We recommend having aeration done at least once a year for best results.
